Humanitarian Support & Healthcare

Since the 25 August we are increasingly concerned about severe restrictions on humanitarian access and impediments to the delivery of critically needed humanitarian assistance to the Rohingyas in Arakan. Almost no humanitarian assistance has been provided to Rohingyas in need in northern Arakan and assistance to Rohingyas in central Arakan has been restricted.

Hundreds of thousands of Rohingya have been affected by the State Orchestrated Genocide in Arakan. This includes 582,000 refugees who have sought safety in Bangladesh since late August, an unknown number of displaced Rohingyas still in the area of military operations in northern Arakan who have been unable to leave. In addition to those displaced, hundreds of thousands of Rohingyas remain in northern Arakan with insufficient access to life-saving food, nutrition, shelter and medical services.

The team of RDF is ready to provide whatever assistance is needed to all Rohingyas with the contribution of the citizens of the world. We are very worried about the well-being of all those affected Rohingyas by the recent attacks of Military and security forces in northern Arakan – in particular, extremely vulnerable individuals including children, pregnant and lactating women, the elderly, and Rohingyas with disabilities – many of whom were already experiencing acute food insecurity and malnutrition and not receiving treatment before the crisis began.

We urge the citizens of the world to help Rohingya those in need of humanitarian aids. And we further urge the citizens of the world to support Rohingyas in the struggle of Rohingya rights that are stolen.
